Freight and Claims
Customers are responsible for knowing all the specifications necessary for delivery of the order. For example, limitations of elevators, stairwells, corridors, doorways, location type, permits, or any other specifications that would hinder normal delivery. Central Station is not responsible for furniture that does not fit or will give no refunds if this occurs.
Central Station uses one carrier for shipping of products. Once your order is ready, you will be contacted that your order has been transferred to the shipping company who will then contact you for all shipping fees and delivery details.
If your items require crating or palletizing, the shipping company can arrange such services. A receiving dock is advised to accept these deliveries. Any additional fees for such services will be paid directly to the shipping company.
When all possible we encourage blanket wrap shipments. If an inside delivery is required you must advise when placing your order.
All quotes and payment for shipping will be handled directly with the shipping company.
Claims, concealed or otherwise, for damage or shortage must be directly with the carrier. Central Station Original Interiors' responsibility ceases when the shipment is taken by the carrier.
ALWAYS OPEN THE SHIPPED ORDER AT THE MOMENT OF RECEPTION IN PRESENCE OF THE CARRIER.
Defective products must be reported within 1 day of delivery.
NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
